Justice Sector Metadata Generator

You can use this form to generate metadata tags and metadata content for Justice Sector web sites. After entering suitable data into the required fields, click on the "Generate HTML" button at the bottom of this page and then copy and paste the resulting HTML into your document between the <head></head> tags at the top of the page. Please do NOT put quote marks "..." around any text that you enter within these data entry boxes. * indicates required fields.

Title* - The full title of the resource. This will appear in Title & DC.Title.

e.g. Race discrimination: our rights More information about this field


Creator* - The name of the person or organisation responsible for the content of the resource.

e.g. Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW (ADB) More information about this field


Publisher* - The organisation responsible for making the resource available in its present form. This will often be the same as the Creator.

e.g. Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW (ADB) More information about this field


Rights - A link to a copyright notice. Optional

e.g. http://info.lawaccess.nsw.gov.au/lawaccess/lawaccess.nsf/pages/copyright More information about this field


Subject* - A broad topic heading to describe the area of law the resource belongs in.
NB These must be selected from the list below.

e.g. discrimination - race More information about this field		To select multiple subject, hold down the control key while making selections with your mouse.


Keywords - Additional words or phrases to describe the resource. Optional
NB Keywords must be separated by semicolons.

e.g. harassment; race; indigenous; ethnic More information about this field


Description* - A concise description of the content of the resource. This will appear in search results.

e.g. This page provides information on your rights if you have been unfairly treated because of your race in New South Wales, Australia. More information about this field


Language* - The language of the resource.
e.g. EN (English) List of Language Codes


Coverage* - The country the resource relates to.
e.g. AU (Australia) List of Country Codes


Jurisdiction* - The legal jurisdiction the resource applies to. Must be selected from the list below.
To select multiple jurisdictions, hold down the control key while making the selections.

Region - The geographic area within New South Wales. Optional
To select multiple Regions, hold down the control key while making the selections.

Date Created* - The date the resource was made available in its present form. (only the year is required)

Date Modified* - The date the content of the resource was last modified. (only the year is required)

Category* - The category of the resource. Must be selected from the drop down box below.

Audience - The intended audience for the resource. Must be selected from the list below. Optional

Type - Broad description of the format of the resource. Only use this field if your resource is not a web page. Optional

Identifier* - A string or number used to uniquely identify the resource, usually the web address.

e.g. http://www.lawaccess.nsw.gov.au More information about this field


Availability - Information relating to the availability of non web based document. Optional

e.g. Full publishing details or details of a library where the item is available More information about this field


Admin.Creator - The name of the person and/or organisation entering the metadata. Optional

e.g. The name of any person who was involved in entering the metadata for the resource. More information about this field


Admin.DateCreated - The date the metadata is created. Optional

e.g. 2000-06-30 (Include the date the metadata was first created) More information about this field


Admin.DateValidTo - The date the information is valid to. Optional

e.g. 2001-03-30 More information about this field
