About this website
Justice Sector Metadata Standard

LawAccess NSW is the first operational implementation of the Justice Sector Metadata Standard. The service is designed to provide easy access to quality plain language legal resources and legal assistance services from across the legal sector.

The standard is an initiative of the NSW Attorney General’s Department, in collaboration with a range of public, community and industry sector organisations including the Law and Justice Foundation, Law Society of NSW, NSW Legal Aid Commission, Legal Information Access Centre (LIAC), NSW Department of Fair Trading, NSW Department of Industrial Relations and the Tenants Union.

The initial trial project was funded by grant under the connect.nsw scheme by the Office of Information Technology.

LawAccess Online is funded by the NSW Attorney General's Department and Public Purpose Fund of NSW.

Participants in the LawAccess Online include:
  • NSW Attorney General's Department
  • NSW Legal Aid Commission
  • Law Society of NSW
  • NSW Department of Industrial Relations
  • Tenants Union
  • Immigration Advice and Rights Centre
  • Law and Justice Foundation of NSW.
